1. Dec 5, 2017. #20. I have just gone through the dilemma you are in picking between the Bergara B14 HMR and the Tikka T3 Tactical. I can say after holding both, the Bergara is a superior product. The "superb" Tikka action does not differentiate itself from the Bergara's so cudos to Bergara for making a great action.I just bought a new scope and I am in a rifle dilemma. I current own a Tikka T3 in .270 Win. Shoots 130 grain American Whitetail ammo really well. I am wanting to go to the next level in guns. Should I buy a AG Composite stock for the gun and move on or should I sell the T3 and buy a CA mesa or Ridgeline in 6.5 PRC.I have 3 Tikka's, 1 Christiansen Ridgeline, and sold my Savage Ultralight. I love my Ridgeline but, for the money, Tikka all the way. Each Tikka I have was easy to load for and I get 1/2 moa or better. For me, and some others, the cheek weld on Tikkas is way too low and requires a riser or comb of some sort. If you are a reloader, Tikka actions can allow you to load heavy for caliber bullets and eke out a touch more powder capacity.
