I use the log stripper things on my huskee 22 about once per cord. I split almost 100% vertical. It doesn't take much force to just push a log off the wedge so to bend it would require a screw up like a round somehow wedging between the ram and the log stripper. The log strippers on my Huskee were never perfectly square from the factory.You can use a 4 way on any splitter., 20 tons and up, BUT YOU CANT RUN ANY SIZE WOOD THROUGH IT. Example you can take a 10in round and run it through a 4 way, its not recommended to be running 20 to 25 in rounds of oak through one. The one problem (other then it is loud to run) is that it has an incredible kickback when using the pull cord on every third or forth pull of the cord. Enough to rip the fingers off a hand.
