Death and Burial. General Curtis Emerson LeMay died on 1 October 1990, at March Air Force Base in Riverside County, CA. He is buried at the U.S. Air Force Academy Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO. He was survived by his wife, Helen, who died on 16 February 1992 and is now buried next to her husband.
