Shells stuck in rough, unpolished chambers, weak ejection/stovepiping because of MIM parts, finishes that rust while the gun is on the store shelf, etc. Many accessories are available for the 870 so if you are into the equivalent of putting 22" wheels on a 4 X 4 pick up, knock your self out. With the Mossbergs I only have experience with the 500/Maverick 88. I am not at all fond of these.
