Project zomboid how to level tailoring.
In vanilla, adding and removing patches is the only way I know of leveling Tailoring. I don't think the devs purposely made it hard to level Tailoring -- it's more likely that the skill hasn't been fully fleshed out yet. There is a mod called Tailoring Fix that lets you get Tailoring XP from ripping up clothes.
it certainly is not the easiest to level up but its certainly one of the easiest to grind if you kill alot of zombies. the thread yield at level 0 or 1 is very low so you need to kill alot of zombies to even start to grind for it. ripped sheet and leather strip padding does give different amount of exp but theres really no big difference. problem is shortage of thread early levels.Right-click the piece of clothing you wish to repair. Ontop of this you only get tailoring XP if you get thread from the ripping. Then walk around ripping all the clothes (bring scissors for leather) to get thread (this also gives a small amount of XP). I drop all the ripped sheets onto zed bodies so they will despawn. Apr 15, 2023 · Tailoring is a great skill to have, just a bit annoying to level up. The benefits are great. You can increase bite/scratch defense on clothing so much, that you can tank a lot more then without. Also the ability to fully repair clothing at level 8 is really nice.
