EDIT/UPDATE: So, it seems that the approach you mentioned actually combines the data into one field which was useful for one of my use cases, however, the long handed way I had to do this was to makemv on the delimiter and expandmv for each of the 4 respective fields, while exporting to csv then re-importing as a new csv after each mvexpand on each field.
