Well, the idea was that I wanted to rebuild a v8, as I am finishing up the N engine rebuild. I enjoy it, and would like to do it again. Figure a v8 on CL is 300-600 depending on condition. find a bum tractor for 500-1000. rebuild the engine using as little as possible new parts hopefully under 2k.

I put a 2.8 V6 chevy out of a blazer in an 8n and it fits nicely without having to lengthen the hood,steering and radius rods. RedRock makes a kit for a 4.3 chevy V6.
