1995 polaris xplorer 300.
The 400 explorer came out in 1995. I purchased a new 1996 and had it until 2008 only issue I had was the key for the speedo cable kept breaking after replacing twice I gave up. In 2007 put in a new starter and chains and sprockets. You can't go wrong with a 2-stroke 4 wheel drive I put mine through the paces.

It is a 1998. Yes on installing the piston correct. Arrow towards the exhaust. The cylinder was just bored and honed. This piston and rings are at new specs. I have 75 PSI when cranking and it went to 80 PSI after putting a few drops of oil in the cylinder. Thanks for confirming the pressure should be over 115 psi.
