It is possible that replacing a defective solenoid (s) may solve the code. How the solenoid failed is anyone's guess but it could be debris in the ATF. P0730 is not a good code, however, you have to troubleshoot the P1705 code prior to making the determination on the P0730. The P1705 is likely a bad range sensor but without doing some testing on it that's just a guess. This may be the cause if multiple incorrect ratio codes are displayed in addition to the P0730. The torque converter clutch, internal clutches and bands are usually controlled by a solenoid using fluid pressure.
