At one time I thought Kimber was the top of the food chain, I really did have pride of ownership with them!
remanaz. To remove the thumb safety from the gun either use your thumb/fingers to pull the hammer back to the cocked position or rack the slide for the same result. Then push the thumb safety up to roughly the middle of between engaged and off. Once in the middle position wiggle it while pulling it away from the frame.
