International parked regen not working.
The auto regen can be done either moving or stationary. A parked regen cannot be done until the dpf reaches a higher, level2 soot content. It is done under the control of the computer, and has a laundry list of things to be done first, including returning the throttle to idle and pushing the parked regen button.
Let the truck run until it is idling. Wait until the coolant temperature is at least 185 degrees. The coolant temperature gauge is on the left bottom side of the dashboard. Once the coolant has reached 185 degrees, press the regen button and hold it down for ten seconds. thats for a parked regen that you run manually. You should not have to do that unless you've bypassed the automatic one and plugged the DPF. Not normal. A parked regen as you saw in the video is a very common maintenance step just to keep the DPF (diesel particulate filter) clean. The DPF is a bundle of channels that capture soot and eventually (in a perfect world) turns it to ash that gets ejected into the atmosphere. After it stopped my truck requested another park regen. If you're needing that many regens, you may need a new filter or perhaps a sensor. You should go see your truck manufacturer. I should add that 200° is normal temp for your dash to show.
