Transmission is stuck in 4th gear. cannot physically move the gear shift. Does anyone have a suggestion? If that is what's happening, you probably have a burned OD clutch. But if the TCM is never telling it to shift, then the problem is likely in the PCM (or the throttle or output speed reading).

If you were stuck in 4th gear full time (even from a stop, which makes it feel really sluggish), then it is likely an electrical problem (wiring or a bad sensor). You will need the fault code to tell WHICH wire / sensor is giving the problem.
