Do a search on the cafe for something like "1800 ground fix" and you will find info on this. 3) This applies to 1300's for sure but I'm not sure if it applies to 1800's. Check the connectors in the wires coming to the speedometer.I tried using a small little in-line filter once -- failed. The 1300 is a gravity feed system and the introduction of a small filter did not allow enough fuel to flow fast enough to the carb. The screens keep out the bigger stuff, I found only small sediment in the carb float bowl.
