Printing copper is the most impactful thing on your mining efficiency. Of course you'll want a bunch of gold peanuts, alchemy upgrades, gear and the latest pick. Oh and don't forget skilled dimwit, get that to 60% and higher and you'll be on your way. Also don't forget each mining level itself adds to efficiency.
