The first number is largely responsible for the clutch engagement rpm while the second number controls how the clutch upshifts.
XUV 550 hard shifting. My 550 has 41 hours on it and has been back to JD for shifting problems. JD did a fine job, put the new clutch kit in it. It was fine for the next 30 hours, now it is really, really hard to shift. I have to shut it off to get it from F to R or back from R to F.Set it low. Now, place trans in neutral, lock park brake. Start engine and rev it up to activate clutches. Run wide open for a few seconds. Let it fully come back to idle. Observe clutch on engine. Now shut off engine.
