Lim gasket 3800.

The UIM(upper intake manifold) gasket is the one between the LIM and UIM. The 2.8/3.1 V6 engines are notorious for LIM gasket failure. In a nut shell most GM V-engines have LIM gasket issues. GM just went a little cheap on the gasket design. The UIM gasket is not the issue so much on the 3800 seriesII as it is the UIM plenum itself that fails.We are going with the Dorman UIM kit which has all gaskets and the revised GM lower intake manifold (LIM) which we got off a salvaged 2001 SII 3800 for $65.00. Since GM came out with the revised aluminum LIM gaskets we're going to give that a try. GM part number 89017816. so i was porting my LIM. and when i was all done. 1 port is .03 bigger then the rest which is .03 bigger then my gasket I.D. is this going to be ok . or should i scrap it out and start over.
