Barricade it with a metal plate on the inside, then go outside and barricade with metal bars. It looks pretty good and lots of protection. Can't see outside of it though. Remove the broken glass first. Use gloves. There are mods to make glass, but idk if any of those allows you to replace large windows.

you could barricade the oustide by building wooden fooor through the north window and around the house. you could also get a sledgehammer to destroy the stair, make a temporal floor to barricade and then build a stair with carpentry level 6 or a fence with a rope. The answer is to enable admin and player safehouses in the server settings, then just right click after relaunching the server and claim the house as a safehouse, and you'll be able to board up the windows just fine.
