The upper receivers of the various .50 cal conversions are all very, very heavy. These heavy uppers soak up the recoil. In an AR-15 type firearm, most of the commotion and mechanical stress takes place upstairs in the upper receiver. The AR lower doesn't see much stress. Now consider that a .50 cal type upper is a bolt action.

As for the upper, it's a Ligamec Corp. Raptor 50 upper. It's a really nice quality built upper - that tooling mark in the first pic is the only flaw I could find with the upper. Other than that, it's perfectly put together. I'm going to do a full review post of the upper once I get a chance to actually shoot it.
Actually most Barrett's have relatively high MOA like 2-4 at best. This is even worse with the recoiling barrel models that dont return to the exact same spot after recoil. This was the main factor in my 50 BMG long range quest which lead me to my Armalite AR-50. While searching online I found this 50 BMG AR upper. A lot of the 50AR uppers got classified by the BATF as firearms and are required to go through an FFL. ...
