Been using controllers on mac and ios for at least 6-7 years. Have m1 now, all of my controllers are compatible. Mfi controller, ps3, wiimote, ps4 and x one controllers. Others just connect but for ps4 controllers you have to turn your controller off then turn it on by pressing option and power button together.
