You contracted Justfly to book your tickets. That isn't free. You also contracted them to process a refund for you with the airline. That isn't free. They are charging you $200/ticket (from the link above) for that service. What the airline agrees to give you doesn't matter. You didn't book with the airline.

You can get the originally quoted fare w/o the $150 up charge by going directly to the airline's own website. There are literally THOUSANDS of similar reviews here already, on Justfly and numerous other third party ticket floggers. All of them share one trait - they are absolutely wretched to deal with if things go wrong.

I am going to guess he had 2 tickets one from India to Schengen area and then another from Schengen area to the USA. If this is the case the airline providing the flight leaving India was correct in denying boarding for the missing Schengen visa as the flight to USA was with a different airline and no longer a connection but 2 separate flights. 8 years ago.
