Hi! So I am so over the litter robot 3 pinch detector. It caused me so many problems. I watched a million youtube videos and tried a million different hacks. I finally ordered a completely new pinch detector and DFI kit. I changed it all out, it was working great for about a month. Now these past few days I am back to seeing the pinch detector ...I have followed all troubleshooting techniques from the support site, including pulling the power leaving it for over 30 min in hopes to reset the code, resetting to factory defaults, removing bags and replacing with empty litter robot bags, cleaning the DFI lenses, trying the reset with drawer in and out.If the serial number does not say that, make sure the waste drawer liner is fully inserted in the drawer and press the Reset button. OK, clean the pinch contacts and make certain you get the the tips of the contacts as well, use steel wool, 3M pad, whatever will knock off the corrosion and allow proper continuity. Then once reassembled, use some dielectric grease to encapsulate the contact points of the pinch detect switch, glob it on thick, (see pic below).
