Taft – Sue, 85, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2022. She was born in Taft, TX, on July 31, 1936, to Julius and Lorene Hunt. She graduated from Taft High School in 1954 and attended Trinity University in San Antonio. She married Tillman Threadgill in 1957 and helped raise his four children and they had two sons together.Originally, the cemetery (then known as Resthaven Park) was established in the early 1940s on 60 acres of picturesque open pasture. In 1997, a modern funeral home was opened on the cemetery grounds to further meet the needs of area families.
