I usually make sure I press the brake and then attempt to shift out of park. Make sure you don't have the button on the shifter pressed before pressing on the brake. It's never gotten "stuck" though.

The official method from the GM bulletin is replacement of a switch component along with the harness or replacement of the entire shifter. To follow up, got my 2019 LT done today (finally). My copy of the Service Order referenced TB 19-NA-206 (no surprise there) and that they replaced the shifter park switch and jumper harness.
