The only way to cheese this would be to have a buddy bring in your kit. Tagged and cursed isn't going cause a scav gang/rush. They are just going to head eyes you. Get a x13 auto pistol, take it to a work bench and apply the impact point barrel + akimbo. The result is a broken gun, the barrel doesn’t load in and you just have a half assembled gun. I mean the Mauser 98 platform as a whole is a great and rather affordable platform for bolt guns. It's not just the 98k specificity.
