No luck. Connected the monitor cables exactly as shown in the "manual". No luck. Disconnected cables and ran self-test on monitor. Ran fine. Reconnected and started PC and then monitor, fuzzy icons on desktop and system start bar, as well as in the IE toolbar still. Downloaded and reinstalled the monitor driver as well as the ATI driver.
