I use Fin's but not for the AI but mainly the gear and some other things. I use vanilla AI and I'm pretty happy with that. In the Fin config editor, there is an option that says "disable all AI changes" which is "false" by default, meaning any change you make in the AI section will apply. If you set it to "true", Fin's won't change AI behavior.

Don't download too many to avoid conflicts, however if there will be conflicts the server console will tell you immediately, so no big deal, at worst one mod will override another one's variable if you miss something in the configs. Fin, the author of the mod has said he is aware of the current issues with gear and AI difficulties regardless of what we (the players) change. Somehow 12.12 isn't responding to some mods right, too technical for my brain to explain lol. My best advice I can give is to just keep testing and trying things out bud.
