Harman pellet stove status light stays on.

Mar 3, 2022 · Hi everyone. I have a harman P61A-2 stove. The other day room filled with smoke and and smelled plastic smell burning. We unplugged and restarted it after cleaning and inspecting. Now it runs constantly. Power ,status lights on. No blinking. Also distribution light and blower stay on as is the combustion blower and light.these don’t go off. Plugged in and with the dial set to "off", it did its quick and normal fan start and stop but then the status light light as well as the Combustion, Feed and Dist lights lit- all blowers went on high and auger started feeding pellets. Dial is at OFF position. Unplugged and plugged in-same thing.So in this example, jumping the auger will force it to operate (or maybe in your case not operate if its bad) so that you can either rule it out as a problem or find out that it is your problem. To check your igniter, take a meter and set it to ohms (resistance). If it measures zero, its dead.

Here are the facts: Stove temp - 100% driven the the ESP (temperature probe in stove exhaust flow). Temp dial corresponds to a fixed ESP temperature. For simplicity, let's assume a setting of 3 = 300 degrees ESP temp. The stove will ramp feed up/down to always be as close to 300 degrees as possible.

The only way it turns off is to open the door or unplug. It has been thoroughly cleaned, no status lights blinking. I've been told by Harman there is a new control board replacement part 1-00-05886, superseded control board 3-20-05374 and comes with a timer which will force the combustion blower to shut off if the ESP probe does not.

Aug 28, 2016 · Thanks LW that is true There still is a valuable lesson here with the root cause of failure that can certainly apply to almost the identical micro switch used in Harman stove vacuum switches for all models except the old Invinsibles and Pellet Pro II and is currently used in most other brand stove's vacuum switch, hopper lid switch and fire door switch. This is not the fault of the pellets, in the case of the Quadra Fire stoves, they have the feed rod right inside the hopper in the center. This is what hangs the pellets up from sliding down properly. I have used wax paper, and have tried smooth metal tape on the seams, etc, etc, and pellets always hang on one side.Harmon pc45 status light.
