It depends on how busy your store is. When I was part-time I had a rotating schedule of 3 40 hour weeks, then one 20 hour week. If you work at a very busy store they'll try to give you as many hours as possible without making you full-time. Im part time and I have never had less then 32.So if you accumulate 30 minutes of ppto (and had none) and then put in 30 minutes on a day you were 30 minutes late (after acquiring all that ppto) all it will do is take 30 minutes of pto out of your bank. Leaving you with 30 minutes of ppto still. So it doesn't seem right to just "have a manager approve that". You didn't use you ppto.
