But you don't have to do security again so you can take your time really and there's bathrooms and water stations again at the parking lot.

Hotel is my personal recommendation, imo it doesn't feel like they have Camp EDC figured out yet logistically. it normally dies down by 9 PM. Been to 5 EDC and all 5 took shuttle so that's 15 day of shuttling. 6-9 PM is most busy and longest line. Anything after 9 is pretty much just a few batch of people. Remember that it also takes 60-90 minutes to get to EDC. So if you take a 11pm shuttle you won't get to EDC until probably after midnight.
