Knock Sensor Help Please. I have a 1995 Impala SS. I just finished replacing my Optispark and water pump. I also replaced the Opti seal and wp drive seal. The car is sitting in the driveway half dry (no coolant) as Im waiting 24 hours for all RTV to dry (says 24 hours). In the last week i have heard a clicking noise coming from under the dash near the underside of the steering column. It only happens when I am driving at highway speeds and it will start clicking rapidly for about 1-2 seconds and then stop clicking. What has me worried is that it hasn't always done this before. It has a newer engine which should be just at around 50k miles on it and it's making the noise. It honestly sounds more like a rattling noise or like a faint knocking. It's not ticking, but knocking. . . . usually that's something to be concerned about.
