Lenovo hinge issues.
The problem with the 7i hinges is that they GLUED them in place and the glue joint breaks under the stress of opening and closing the lid. They repair it by gluing it in again and so the problem isn't really fixed properly and the breakage can occur again. This was my first Lenovo purchase and I spent close to $2K on the laptop.

I'm looking at buying a Ideapad Flex 5 16" laptop (2022 model). A lot of reviews I've found about the Ideapad Flex 2-in-1 laptops from 2020-2021 mention that the screen hinges fail within a few months to 1 year, often resulting in the screen cracking. Also apparently it's not covered under warranty.
Does the Lenovo LOQ have hinge issues? So I've been researching online and found that Lenovo is notorious for its laptops having faulty hinge designs. Is this also the case for the LOQ? Lenovo need to recall the units with hinge problem, seriously. I had a hinge problem (Legion Y-740) after two years. But after a little bit of research I find myself the lucky one. Many owners have the hinge problem shortly after the purchase. See:
