CTRL+SHIFT+I then click toggle device emulation. Getting mobile points on desktop just worked for me. And CTRL+SHIFT+M toggles mobile emulation. So you want CTRL+SHIFT+I (or F12) to turn on developer mode, followed by CTRL+SHIFT+M to turn on mobile.
