Recommend larger units exit thru the commercial gate SE of the FamCamp. Exit on 1st St and on to Ordinance Rd and turn right on N 2070 Rd at the stop light to exit to Hwy 62. Barriers are well spaced for a safe exit. There is no shower/laundry bldg at the FamCamp. The fee of $15.00 per day is still a good value.Go W on John Sims Parkway (SR20) to the East Gate of Eglin AFB. From East Gate go straight on Eglin Blvd and follow signs for Commisary-Exchange. They had recently paved the road to the camp site at the beginning of November and we had to take the scenic route (ok - it was night time and dark so not ... Object moved to here. You can go for a nice quiet walk around the park with views and swings by the bayou and a short path through the woods. This is one of the few FamCamps I would consider staying long term.The dirt road to the famcamp is full of stutter bumps, so take it easy coming in. There is a little creek that runs near the camp and a herd of Antelopes hang out near the camp.
