I understand the new gem compressor that was added a while, but it's a logic based one and people say to use a lever with it. Why is that? Every time I use it I only gave it water and it worked perfectly fine without a lever, it's not even needed to compress the gems. So ultimately my question is, does water just make it automatic and a lever makes it manual?
I'd recommend using sorters to separate the gems from the rest and have them go down a slide into the gem-compressor. Edit At the moment, will try to do something small like when active, will cut off the belt that is feeling it so the resources wont hit it and get knocked out of place and be everywhere. What am I …May 10, 2021 · gem compressor issues. i believe the inlet pipe should not be on the same side as the hydraulic piston. so it can be attached to a sorter or other conveyor piece and have the gems fall right in. right now they hit the piston and get stuck, and the next easiest way of connecting pipes to it has the gems getting stuck on the lever. if this is the ... Use 10 sec timer. Add a straight belt between sorter and compressor. Put magnet over that straight belt. The pile up happens when a gem comes down the adjacent conveyor during the compression part of the logic compressors cycle, smacks the side of the compressor and loses all momentum.
I'm new to the game, bought my copy just after this latest prospecting update. I've just started to hit light automation, with 2 iron drills pumping out more nuggets into a pan than my computer likes to handle.
