I'm running the Mopar fuel injection and have an external pump;originally installed in 2000. My sending unit pickup developed pin holes, and to keep it the same I ordered a sending ...I took the old metal tank out of my 89 and used a 20 gallon tank for a 94 or 95 YJ with the in tank pump. It needed a supply and return line so I used a corvette regulator mounted to the frame back by the tank therefore only running one line forward to the fuel rail. The only thing different was I was feeding a V8.sounds like fuel. easiest place to start is with the fuel pressure tester. Disconnecting the vacuum line to the regulator has no effect on the pressure. Usually there is no return line on a carburetor as the needle and seat shut off the fuel flowing into the carb. The return line is usually on the fuel pump or sometimes as on many chrysler type systems on the fuel filter itself. I suspect that if the weber is a low pressure design about 2 psi, the regulator will help.
