For what it is worth Ruth's Carbine owner's guide has an estimated or approximate manufacture date window of Oct-Dec 1943 for serial range 4075000- 4180000. Knows rear sights! I have been looking for parkerized M1 15 rounds magazines for my collection. What I have seen so far is cleaned up magazines with traces of corrosion, then parkerized. In no way attractive. I have been told the parkerized magazines were intented for troops in South East Asia. They should resist the humid climate better when parkerized.
