My MGW was an improvement over the C6 shifter, it is very notchy, and direct/short, but it requires more effort than I would prefer, even with the anti-venom mod. I sometimes still have issue getting it into 2nd quickly when down shifting. As mentioned, the box is the same for both C5 and C6. You may wish to replace the rubber bushings that mount the box, though.
