They are the splined type and I am concerned with the lug key holding up to the 120 ft/lb torque required of them. It seems most "normal lugs" (17mm/19mm etc.) are too wide for a slim design and we are left with the splined ones to choose from.

Mar 1, 2011 · Well I just re-torqued my lug nuts using the 30lbs + 90 deg. method. I first torqued all to 30 lbs., then I set my torque wrench to 50 lbs and turned another 30 degs to reach 50lbs. then set to 70lbs, tried on another lugnut and went approx 45 degs to reach the 75lbs.

I can not speak for the 2016 because my machine and service manual is for a 2015. That said if it helps the A-Arm Mounting Bolts and the shock mounting bolt are 42 ft-lbs. The RZR owners manual calls for the lug nuts to be torqued to 120 ft/lbs. That seems like over kill. My wifes car has the same size lug bolts (M12x1.5) and alloy wheels. The owners manual calls for 65 - 79 ft/lbs of torque.Every time you take the wheels off run a thread chaser over the studs and a tap into the lug nuts. Then use carb cleaner and compressed air to thoroughly clean the threads on the studs and threads in the lug nuts. Apply a thin coat of anti-sieze on the threads and put the wheels on.
